Now All.

Im just wondering if anyone has some advice on the above. Im after investing in a good CLEAN,TUBE Amp. I like to let the pickups do all the work so am after the best clean sound for a max of £500. I have just got meself a new 2008 American Std Strat and am now after something to compliment it.

Any advice would be spot on, Cheers!!!

A lot of it depends on what you are going to be using it for - home, gigging, etc.

A lot of folks swear by the Blues Junior around here...

Hello Jamboski1982,

While the Blues Jr. is loved by many
including myself. I do not believes it
to have a great glassy clean tone.

The Hot rod deluxe will deliver
a cleaner tone but at the cost of
about 1/3 more. Then of course there
is the Fender twin reverb at nearly
3X the cost of a Blues Jr.

Your best bet is to take some time and
play a few different models.

Cheers.

Good post. I am looking for a decent tube amp primarily for practice but maybe to cover a small gig from time to time. I have a BOSS GT-10 so I really don't need an amp with a lot of FX or modeling features.

I'm going to look at the Hot Rod Deluxe then. (1st post for Fender 2009 Kick-off Contest)

I would look at the Peavey Classic 30.
It is loud, and you can over drive it nicely if you desire,
but it has a great clean tone, a richer sound than
most Fender amps, although the Princeton has a great
clean tone, it is not as full as the Classic 30.
