Hello

I am looking for a new amp. I play all kinds of music. I like stuff like, The Cure, Foo Fighters, Pink Floyd, Janes addiction, Van Halen, blues, jazz, etc.
Would this amp be able to cover a wide range of styles?

How does the cleans on this amp compare to the Hotrod series and the 65 Princeton Reverb?

Help please

I don't own one, but I've played one several times at Guitar Center. I really like this amp. All tube, two clean voicings, baltic birch cabinet, and V30 Speaker(s). And also, what makes this amp so great to me is that you can get those beautiful Fender Blackface clean tones, bluesy overdrive, and modern high gain all in one. All authentic, no facsimile. All tube 2 6L6's 60 watts=loud. The 112 combo is approx. the same size as a DRRI.

I have one, and really like it!
I dont play well at all but the amp sounds nice ;)
For the most part I dont even use it much, I practice with
a FM25 solid state.

At 60W, it's a powerful amp.....and starts sounding sweet as the volume knob twists. Problem is, anything past 2 is baseboard-shaking. At home/jamming levels I felt it was way overkill. I enjoyed the Baseman voicing, but thought the Vibrolux and Gain voicings to be thin. I played with a number of preamp/power tubes, and swapped in a Weber speaker....but never quite bonded with it.

i own one and i think its amazing, a bit pricey considering its never left the guitar room.... but im constantly playing between the vibrolux and bassman setting. its pretty versital. the clean tone is one of the best ive heard. bottom line is its two amps in one at the push of switch! never thought twice about getting anything to replace it.

good luck

I,ve owned one since they came out, i really like this amp but it takes some knob fiddling to get what you want. I turn the high,s way down with Fender single coils. Lots of power, the drummer wont bury you.Highly recommended.
