Am I the only guy who knows how good this amplifier really is?
Anybody else using it?
This amp is absolutely amazing.
Why is Fender is still putting the Blues Jr. Amp in such a small cabinet is beyond me.
When they made the Two-Tone, they must have broken the mold.
The Master Built Two-Tone Amp is essentially the same thing as a Blues Jr., it's just been put into a larger, solid pine cabinet and a 10" speaker was added.

That's a cool looking amp! I've never seen one. I bet it does sound good! It's amazing what a nice solid pine cab will do! 8) Is it point to point wiring?

It is the same as a Blues Jr.
It is not point-to-point. It's a 15-watt tone machine!
Fender stopped making them.
It's a Blues Jr. in a larger cab. It's got luscious tone. Crystal clear highs and nice lows. It's also very responsive.
Comes with reverb and a "Fat" switch. I just wish the "Fat" switch was a foot pedal instead of a switch on the amp.
Fender should consider releasing it again.

I just found one of those here in a local shop. I put some $ on it and can't wait to go pick it up!

It sounds good no matter what type of guitar or pickups I use. Single, Humbucker and P-90s all sound nice.
I love the fact that the 10" speaker can handle the highs. The mids are really clear too. Because of the 12" speaker the lows are rich and warm.
Good luck with yours.
If you put money down on one, then you obviously spent some time playing it.

Hello Californiaman,

That is one spectacular Blues Jr.
Do you know what kind of
speakers it's housing?

Thanks for the photo.

Cheers.

They are specially designed for Fender by Eminence Speakers.
I've read where some people have switched them out for this type or that type.
Hell... they sound spectacular to me.

Your wish has been granted. The "Fat" switch can be controlled via a foot pedal. Remember this is the same as a Blues Jr. Plug the pedal into the jack to the left of the speaker connection.
Quote from the manual, “ FAT” FOOTSWITCH CONNECTOR - This jack
provides a connection for the optional external
footswitch (Fender Part# 041228). When plugged
in, the external footswitch disables the FAT switch
(Item H) on the top panel.

EDIT: Sorry I didn't realize this was a zombie thread from Jan 2009 brought back from the dead. I assume Californiaman has already figured this out.

+1
It's a looker of an amp. I regret not buying one when they were being blown out at discount prices before they were discontinued.
