What's your budget?

Where do you play?

Whom do you play with?

All essential factors in making a choice ...

my good friend/roommate/band mate has an orange bass amp. you might want to look what they have to offer. I'm almost certain it was about $250. Orange is a very reputable amp company and its got great tone for a solid state.

last post i swear!

understanding this is a fender forum, and I am a fender advocate to the death, I'll say I also know fender makes good bass gear. I just however have no insight into what they offer.

no it was new. i know it was a crush bass amp. they offer a 20W and 35W. either is plenty loud. his rattles the walls. i believe he has the crush 20B. you can find it on the orange site, but they don't sell from their website. you'd have to find a vendor.

The Fretstore is a great M&P operation. I shop at the store. The guy who owns it is a real gentleman.

I believe they're also a Fender dealer.

For a bass amp, 20W to 35W is not nearly enough power to gig with!

Here are some amps from $200 - $300, check out the ones with the highest wattage. The Behringer ones have the highest wattage for the money with the Gallien-Kruegers coming in second. I never tried these amps but they have good user ratings. May be worthwhile for you to research further ...
