does anyone know how to make a fender blues deluxe TEMPORARILY quieter
ive heard of solutions but it requires alterations to the amp that can not be "switched off"

A volume pedal? Guitar's volume control? There are a lot of simple solutions.
You could use an attenuator, I don't like them too much, but they won't require any permanent mods to the amp.

yea but wont a volume pedal or the guitars volume knob sacrifice that full tone you get when its cranked :?:

Yep. An attenuator would be your best bet or a lower wattage amp and a a/b switch. The only other way around it is to get a Tweed 5e3. The Tweeds are extremely dynamic meaning the harder you hit the strings, the more breakup you get the softer you hit the strings the less breakup you get. Very cool amps. You don't really lose volume either, just the dynamics change.

Fender has I believe the 57 Tweed Deluxe not the tweed Hot Rod or Blues Deluxe tweed covered amps. The Tweed 5e3 circuit. I played one in NY and fell in love with the organic/dynamic tone of this thing. It's truly amazing.
