Has anyone ever though of potentiometers that lock in their position when you push them in?

More than a few times have i accidentally turned on my blues deluxe to realize the volume position moved up, killing my eardrums, and I thought it would be a practical component to use for modern amps.

Constructive criticism only, no flamers please.

I think I remember something like that from the 70's maybe, but I don't believe that would work out too well in a guitar amp.
Do you have any electronics parts stores near you other than Radio Shack? If you do, go see what they might have help prevent that from happening.
Just a footnote. As a general practice, I've gotten myself in the habit of checking all my level controls before powering up any of my gear. I always roll my volumes all the way down before powering off, that protects my speakers when powering on.

I think its a good idea. What would be better though is for fender to start putting standby switches on all their valve amps.

Hey Nikininja,

That standby switch is invaluable
I wish the Blues Jr. had one.

Cheers.
