I have a Fender Ultmate Chorus Amp (not DSP) that I purchased in the mid nineties.
Lateley I am getting a buzz when my guitar sustains. It is not a hum or electrical buzz. I have tried different guitars and it still makes the same buzz. I have tightened every visible screw and still no difference. I will probably take it in but just wonderinng if anyone had any ideas that I could take care of myself?

Hi, sorry I have no idea about that problem. Other than the buzzing, just thought I'd ask your opinion on the ultimate chorus. I'm looking to get a fender amp, and I've seen one of these for a good price. Is it a nice amp? Is it loud enough to be heard over drums and bass and keep a nice tone?

Hey,
Yeah its a pretty good amp. I've used it for gigging for the past 3 years and it is loud. I usually have it set around 4 when going through a PA. It has a real nice clean channel, the chorus is nice and the drive channel is not bad. You may get better distortion out of a pedal but I have really enjoyed this amp.

I've been doing some more investigating to my amp buzz issue. I've disconnected both speakers separately and ruled out a speaker issue.
It seems as if the buzz is coming from the panel behind the control knobs.
Any suggestions?

I see lots of people have viewed this but no replies. This will be my last post before I take my amp in the shop. It seems the housing that contains the control panel is buzzing. A friend of mine held his hand against it as I played and it stopped for a very short period of time. Once again I tightened the screws but still no luck. Any ideas on how to baffle the sound?

Well I finally took the amp in. I picked it up, brought it home, plugged it in and it STILL buzzes. I called the tech and he said bring it back, so I did. Plug in at the shop and it works fine. I had my guitar there being set up so I try it and it still works fine. Take it home and it buzzes!
What should I do? I've played with the bass level and I usually play around 3-4 but if I drop it to around 2 it doesn't buzz as much but I still can hear it. Maybe I just have to deal with it.
Any suggestions?
