I have Rock Band and I was trying to hook up my amp so that it would sound way better. The problem is, when I hook up the cables from my TV to the amp, I can't control the volume and it is blasted. Can someone help me out?

wont the tv volume control it.
It could be a impedence problem. I suggest you run your TV into the microwave oven first then the microwave into your guitar amp.

That should smooth the volume control out a bit, and your tone will be 'cooking'. :D

Glad you straightened that out Niki! Electronics always confused me!

...uh, haha. Thats pretty ridiculous. But then again, last year I rigged my less than reputable line 6 to my computer and played pornographic audio out of my dorm window for the quite large group of basketball players. Does it count that it wasn't my idea? Any way to salvage some respect points after that confession. But then again, I wasn't using a deville?

You probably are pluggin the RCA jacks from the game console to the amp and bypassing the amp built in the TV. Therefore you lose control of the remote for the volume. You need to plug in the TV audio output into the amp itself and then you can use the remote.

Seriously though, buy a home entertainment center or a standard audio amp. Much more suited for the application.

LOL! Why would anyone want to do that! Ah, but maybe a brew would help me understand  Seriously tho, if you HAVE to do that look at the post above. On the other hand, you are NOT going to get better sound out of a guitar amp from equipment designed for an audio system. That stated, whatever works for you is fine by me.

Also, you could try Niki's suggestion... works best with a high wattage microwave...
