I just bought myself a new Hot Rod Deville and I want to know which analog distortion pedal would be good for it? The music I play is simular to the strokes, block party, the killers etc. Any suggestion would help me :)

You absolutely can't go wrong with Barber pedals. I've been using the LTD SR my overdrive for while now. It's perfectly transparent and adds sweet natural drive. If you are looking for a higher gain pedal they have a lot of other cool stuff and a brand new one called the Dirty Bomb.

I couldn't agree more with thirstypirate :!: :!: :!: :!:

While you are there (Barber site), there are many real flavors to choose from depending on your needs. From creamy to clear. These hand made boxes have won two Editors Pick Awards in Guitar Player Magazine.

I you have time, check out Austin/Nashville session and performing guitarist: Dave Grissom rave about thirstypirate's LTD SR box....he loved it.

Check out this "youtube" clip at minute 7:49...he starts to chat about the Barber LTD SR.

The Dirty Bomb pedal ust hit the streets last week.
I use one of his Launch Pad & Linden boxes.

I have said this in the past...you can't have a better combo than a Fender tube amp. & a Barber box. From a Blues Jr. to Super, etc...win/win.

My Zvex Box of Rock sounds pretty sweet through my PRRI. Should be called Box of Blues as it nails blues tones as well as smooth Marshall OD. The boost is killer as well.

Fulltone makes an awesome OD. My Fulltone Fulldrive Mosfet and DRRI=Heaven
I haven't tried any Fulltone distortion pedals, but I can highly recommend the OCD and Fulldrive Mosfet for super transparent, bluesy overdrive.

I too will check out the barber website. I'm in the market for some higher gain tones and I am so picky about tone I have to obsess for a few weeks before buying :)
