I'm not too fond of Torres. The tubes seem way overpriced to me.
Eurotubes has a matched set of JJ's for about $25 less depending on the set you buy.
I've used JJ's in my Twin and HRDlx. Great sounding tubes at a reasonable price.

I would be careful with their mods too. I know quite a few people who cooked their amps with their mods.

Hello Bluemoon,

$76 bucks for the 5 tubes sounds ok to me.

After reading what they're all about
I'll agree that the AY will have less noise
but you will loose some volume.

Cheers.

Power tubes need to be matched and biased.
First I've heard of needing matched pre-amp tubes in the Fenders.

I got a Jan 5751 (v1) , Ruby 12AX7 (v2) and a JJ ecc81 (12at7) (v3) from Tube Depot they seem to work just fine .
