Was there ever a Fender model with EL-34 power tubes?

I love the way EL34 amps distorts and I also like the way Fender make amps... just think that combination would probably produce great tones...

Its a simple mod, it requires very little removal and re-fit work from what i know of it. The El34 was dubbed the british 6L6, they opertate at similar levels too. If you like the idea of a more inbetween sound (bit marshall/bit fender) try KT66's too.

As far as I know it takes a lot of work - you need a new transformer because transformers that are built for 6L6 tubes might not take the EL34 current... and replacing a tranny might be very expensive.
