I just bought a Blues Junior NOS and I noticed the tubes are just regular old Sovteks. I thought all Fender amps came stock with Grooves Tubes?

have you pulled one out and looked at the back?

Groove tubes are usualy Sovteks with a GT stamp on one side.

These tubes don't have the traditional Fender/GT label - Just says Sovtek. Also, the amp didn't come with a Groove Tubes hang tag like all the other Fender amps I've owned.

Might have something to do with the fact that GT is closing up shop:

FMIC wont disolve GT completely. Like when they bought jackson and charvel there will be a time of lull, then a big bounce back. Both jackson and charvel went very quiet from the mid to end 90's. Then returned in my opinion better than before. I'm pretty sure the same will happen with GT. I certainly hope they re-issue the Soul'o'30 combo's.

Ditch the GT's/Sovteks and put a set of JJ's in. You will get a cleaner more detailed vintage tone.
