I got this deluxe reverb Ri from 1999 with the fender eminencer special design speaker, fender claims that is the seame sound of the jensen from the 60s. Now newer DR got the jensen, so i dunno if would be a god idea to replace it for that one, i´m lockin for the SRV sound.
The vibroluxe Diaz custom got the eminence, so jensen or stock eminence?
thxs...

Do you like it? Many people try to get the SRV tone but never achieve it.
If you like what you have, keep it. A change of a speaker will not make you sound like SRV. The guitar, fingers, strings etc. helped define his sound too. Johnny Winter is from Texas and a slew of other Bluesmen. They all define the Texas Blues sound not just SRV.

You need to use your own ears. Opinions are just opinions.

I'm from Texas and I have to agree. If you like the sound that you are getting, Stick with it! Texas bluesmen from Bugs Henderson to Wes Jeans to Johnny Winter, to SRV and Freddy King! Who are you! that's what is important. I play through the fender super-sonic with a 4x12 matching fender celestion speaker cabnet. It's the best sounding amp I have ever owned. We just got through playing the Louisiana State Fair and the sound man came up to us after the show and said he's ran sound for hundreds of bands but we had the best overall tone that he has heard in years, that includes national or local acts. It's just easy to get that tone with the fender gear. So if you like what you are getting stick with it. After all it's you that you need to satisfy.

So do you reckon the eminence got the seame sound of the jensen?

No. It's not just the speaker. There are a lot of variables involved. Just buy one, try it out, if you like it keep it, if not, send it back. No one can tell what your ears are hearing. You can get a thousand different answers to your question. Some people like Jenson speakers, some hate them. Same with Eminence. The stock Eminence is just a decent speaker, not great. Don't believe everything you read, just believe what YOU hear.
