Thanks! I got it ...i'll let ya know.

** I'm hip to the CYBER-COMMANDER....he'll get the business, just not right now....

I got direct entry runnin' but i'm trying to figure out if i can access the "A" presets on my amp...(the amp ones)....direct alone makes the pedal worth the money!!...flyin through the channels.

Hey all! I just posted up another preset patch for you all to check out and download for your Cyber-Twin SE. The patch is called LMC Triple Delay and it's a distorted ping-pong type delay. I wrote quite a bit about it and I also posted up a song I recorded with my band using the sound.

Check it all out here: Cyber-Twin SE Preset "LMC Triple Delay"

Question........standard FENDER foot pedal or any foot pedal(berhinger).....can you access the "A"-AMP section of the CYBER-TWIN using the foot controller?....all i can get is players and "somehow" i can get the "C"-custom presets....but not the "A'S"

WHAZZ UP?

You can access all presets, Custom Shop (85 CT, 100 SE), Player's Lounge (85 CT, 100 SE), and Your Amp (35 CT, 50 SE) for a total of 205 CT or 250 SE presets. However the foot controller MIDI Map (programmed in the Cyber Twin) is setup so that it can only address 128 of them, which of course matches the the total program number range (from 000 to 127) of the cyber foot controller .

See the Cyber Commander manuals at the bottom of the page of http://www.generalcybersystems.com/GCSW ... ources.htm for a description of the MIDI Map and how it works, see section 8.6.6 (and various other sections) of the manual.

ciao,
johnny.

Forgive me for tossing this question in here, but I got no repsonse elsewhere-

I have searched a bunch, but came up a bit short on this. I have an original CT delux and the damn tubes are rattling. I'm guessing there is a mod to fix this and I do have a service center around but it's not all that close. Anything I can do myself? A part I could order and install myself? I opened it up and noodled for a bit with not much luck except to put acoustic foam between the two tube covers. It helped a little bit but of course, the problem isn't solved. I'm the original owner but the amp is out of warrenty by now. Thanks for any help on this.

Shockwave,

The Cyber Deluxe does not have preamp tubes. No tubes whatsoever. What you are probably experiencing is more than likely a loose connection in the wiring or the speaker itself is rattling.

The only Cyber Series amps that have tubes are the Cyber Twin and Cyber Twin SE.

Well color me a moron! I've been through this in another thread with Johhny a little bit, and my amp is the Cyber Twin [sorry Johnny!]. Sorry for the confusion. It most definitely has two tubes and one is rattling. I'm gonna swap out the tubes and see if that helps. Any good suggestions for tube replacements?

Check out eurotubes.com It's the best place to get replacement tubes. I wasn't impressed with the tubes that were in it, changed to Sovteks, weren't impressed with those either. Bought some JJ tubes from Eurotubes. Let's just say I would buy tubes from them again.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to look at the specs for the cybertwin tubes because I'm not even sure what type/size to buy as replacement.

WOW! I must thank you for referring me to eurotubes! Awesome info there, and a matched pair available for the cybertwin! Woo hoo! Thank you again! In reading up, all the info confirms what Johhny suggested earlier- new tubes are in order...and are now on order! LOL. Thanks for your help guys.

I'm gonna swap them myself. As much as JJ coveres doing so very well on his site, does anyone have any tips to convey specific to the cybertwin? It seems pretty straight forward.

On the FCB1010, check out the FCB1010 User's Group on Yahoo. They have a ton of how-to files, and links to a variety of GUI interfaces for programming your 1010. Way too easy.

Cool FCB1010 hack. Ya know how your CT can make use of only two expression pedals? Plug a generic volume pedal into the expression pedal jack, and plug in your 1010 to the MIDI ports. Now you have three expression pedals! Wah wah woo diddy baby!

Another FCB1010 hack, much more useful. You only get to choose one FX item from your FX menu, we all fuss about that, right? When you hook up your 1010, assign one FX item to your expression pedal, and choose a second one in the FX menu as an always-on part of the patch. Presto, ya got two independently controllable FX! (Via your FX bypass stomp switch, remember that little guy?) Y'know, I haven't tried using all three expression pedals to pile up four FX...

As for swapping tubes in a Cyber Twin, as well as doing your own installation of the tube rattle kit, there used to be a website with great step-by-step pix and several techniques to make life easier. The task isn't magic, but it's not easy either--the pix help. Trouble is, I can't remember where I put the weblink. Ack! Anybody got a link?

PS...I tried JJs in mine. Yes they smooth the amp out, but I found I preferrred the slightly microphonic liveliness of a good set of Sovteks. The prettiest and most articulate, btw, was an old set of Mullards I temporarily took out of another amp. At this time, my Sovteks are back in.

I just posted up another or my preset patches. This one is called "LMC Hi-Gain '66" and it's an extreme gain distortion based on a Blackface tonestack.

Check it out here:
