I don't own one. I've tried them out numerous times. Buddy Guy has used one, Dwiezel (sp) Zappa even Santana has carried one around on tour. But......everytime I play one I think they suck! I cannot get a good sound out of it. I have spent a little time with one trying to make my own patches, stripping away all the effects and just trying to get down to the naked amps. I just cannot make this thing sound good. Do any of you have any suggestions? Are there any tricks of the trade you can tell me. It looks like it is the ideal solution in a lot of ways. I am no knocking the Cyber Twin SE. Maybe it s just not for me. I am currently using a Rivera Quiana Studio 112 which is a nice amp but still I am frustrated with it. The Fender side really isn't Fenderish enough for me and the Marshall side really isn't Marshallish enough for me. The search continues.

Thanks!

I have owned, played, and thoroughly loved a CT since Sept. 2001. I think Fender did an outstanding job in the conception, design, and realization of this product. If something happened to mine I would definitely replace it.
I am curious about Fender's long-range plans for this technology. The SE has a couple of really desirable features but does not offer any enhancements for my use that warrants another purchase. I hope that there is a C-TII on the horizon that offers more specific component/circuit configurability.

I myself had the original CT head, ver. 1.3, as my main amp since 2002 & I recently upgraded this year to the CT SE & couldn't be happier with the amp. I can still use my 4-12" cabinet as the new SE includes speaker out jacks but I've found that overall the 2-12" combo version has better tone & more sonic projection. I have had more compliments on my sound from fans &, more importantly, our soundmen since using the CTSE. I easily midi downloaded all my old custom programs from the CT head into the new CTSE & while it's the same program settings I've used previously, the compliments I've recieved on the new CTSE's sound makes me even more sure that I made the right decision in upgrading.
I myself wish there could've been an upgrade available to the ver. 1.3 CT, especially since it was still under the 5 year unlimited warranty, but after several exchanges with several Fender reps, including the Retail Technician Manger for Fender, I was told the circuitry improvements in the new CTSE are so drastic that an upgrade was literally impossible. After personally playing & hearing the differance in the 2 models myself, I have to reluctantly agree with that opinion.
So go to your nearest retailer & check out the new CTSE for yourself. Don't get me wrong, the old Cyber Twin is still an awesome amp but the new CTSE is far superior and worth checking out.
Good luck Gary & happy Cyber Twinning to you!!!

Just wanted to toss my hat into the ring, so to speak, and say I also own a CyberTwin 1.2 updated to 1.3 with the Cyber foot controller board. I've had it for over 6 years.
I enjoy using it with my Tele or Strat for a variety of clean to blusey crunch tones. :D
When I want more more effects laden crunch and drive tones I prefer using my BOSS GT-8 and PRS Custom 24. :)

Can anybody tell me why it's been so hard for me to find a Cyber Foot Controller. I've had one ordered from my local music shop since Nov. '06. I'm wonder if they were recalled or is Fender upgrading the controller, wtf?

Finally got my foot controller. Great addition. Can somebody tell me why the expression pedal will dime out my effects parameter rather than stopping at the preset level? Ex. when it's rocked completely forward, my chorus out level ( for example) is 10 instead of stopping at 6, the stored preset level.

You have to set the sweep movement, this will re-set how much level is outputted.

I recently bought a used Cyber Twin after playing through one at Guitar Center. The preset that really got me going was the 70's Outlaw, being that I am a huge WAYLON fan. The problem is I can't find it on the one I've purchased??? is this an effct that is only on the SE? if so, could some one list the settings so that I can program it into mine.

You have an original CT, not CT-SE?
