I bought a new ver.1 firmware 2 about a month or so ago. I've also been using one at church, where I find it very easy to plug-in and go in a very short period of time. Maybe we can create a patch thread.

Heck yeah! I still have my original CT Ver 1.3. There wasn't really any need for me to buy a CT-SE, yet.

Here's a live MP3 http://www.therubbles.com/Hidden_Love_G.mp3 from one of festival show with using my CT. This is a an original song I wrote 'Hidden Love from our first CD 'Prime Cut Blues'.

I walk out into the crowd for my solo, so you have to see in your mind's eye, me stopping to play to several woman in the crowd. Most times the band can't see me, but know my musical cues when to 'break it down'.

Absolutely. I shamefully admit that I have 3 C-Ts (don't ask me why, I don't know either :) ) as well as a C-TSE. I think they're endless fun personally.

It is my professional opinion that I will die or the amp will self destruct before I'm able to find all the possible tones this amp has to offer.

When I got my CT, the board wasn't available yet, but I did use a DigiTech MIDI Seven just for a little while. I assigned to the four button foot switch the main four presets I use, and I know the locations of the customized presets I use in the Players Lounge. Less 'stuff' to lug around now.

IMO one of the best modeling amps made so far.

Ah, excuse me, the CT is not a modeling amp! The CT is a 2x12 tube preamp combo with reconfigurable analog and digital circuitry, motorized knobs and a 2x65-watt power amp.

Yes, I use Patch Wizard, it works for the original CT but not for CT-SE. I know of guy who is testing software now that will work with CT-SE.

Do you have any suggestions for a USB-Midi cable?
With the Patchwizard, do you have to have a midi connection for the params to show a change?

Yes, you have to have a MIDI connection.

I build my own computers and with this last one I built, I used the motherboard's audio chipset. This one didn't have a joystick/MIDI jack. I went over to Guitar Center and had to get the M-Audio Uno http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_maudio_usb_uno_1x1_midi_interface?full_sku=101962629. I wanted the Editrol but they didn't carry it.

The Uno worked alright, I really needed to backup my recent customized presets. One thing was that the Uno drivers weren't WIN-XP approved but still worked.
