I have a limited edition laquered tweed blues jr. with a stock celestion v30 speaker.

But seeing as how I can't find another one built with the same speaker, except for this one above, I'm starting to wonder just how stock it is.

Any help here?

thx.

As far as I am aware this model is a limited edition, how limited I'm not sure.

Since this is the BJr Mega Thread, I thought I'd join the party and stick in some pics of my Custom Shop BJr.

Does anyone know if the RELIC version of the Blues Jr. is really limited to 125 world wide as stated in another post :?:

The Tweed edition isn't the only BJ with a Celestion V30 as stock. The (limited edition) Texas Red BJ also has the V30.

I have a sunburst Blues Junior, but it's not the same exactly as the one pictured. It has a normal dogbone handle and I do not think (but don't know for certain) that it is solid maple. It's a good little amp though. Anyone else got one of these? (I've had it from new).

I just got a new Blues Junior with Emerald tolex and a Celestion V30. It looks and sounds great. Pics eventually.

Same here. Was blown away by how great it sounded actually.
I had heard the stock and NOS Tweed versions at GC when I had
played through them plenty of times. Never got a chance to play
one with a V30, until Monday when the 2010, like new Emerald Green
Limited Edition came up on craigslist. I had a short moment to try it and
I instantly handed over the cash. I knew I liked the NOS, wasn't super
thrilled with the standard, but knew I could basically mod it to get it the
rest of the way there. I am going to get very familiar with this amp until
the beginning of 2011 before I mess with anything. A few Bill M mods are
definitely going to be added, but I will consider each one slowly with
patience since this amp sounds great as is right now.

For others of you who have purchased Limitied Edition FSR Blues Juniors,
please join me in listing out which ones you have on a thread I recently
created on TGP:

Here is a pic of the amp from the Emerald City (with the LP):

I have a Blonde Limited Edition Blues Jr. with the Eminence speaker but I'm contemplating putting in a Vintage 30.

After playing the standard and NOS tweeds in gc, I can very much recommend the vintage 30. It sounds really good. It still has a "sweet spot" on the controls as many have already mentioned where it sounds best, but boy does it sound good. I am tempted to widen that sweet spot with some billm mods, but I am hoping that I can be patient to wait and slowly try "least invasive procedures" first, trying one change at a time and seeing how it grows on me before trying the next.

I once owned the Hot rod in tweed with the Jensen speaker. Awesome sound. Why I ever let it go has me still wondering.

I have a new bodel in the black toles with the Fender re-issue "gold label" speaker.
I like(d) both, but preferred the Jensen speaker.

Is there any way to tell what vintage or flavor BJ your getting if you are buying it used?
I see some on eBay for a decent price, but I don't want the old green board version that has a noisey reverb.
Are the model numbers different?

Great looking BJ you have Snowy, I'm having a problem with the EL84's getting to hot and I know the Bias is the problem but I was wandering what valves your running.
