Hi all.
Just bought an Fender Hot rod deluxe MIM.
Great sound, but...
Clean channel little noice, plugged or unplugged.
Dist channel more noice and with the button "more gain", the noice is very loud. Tried with different houses thinking that there was some earthing problem. Should i just return it or is it something typical with this technology.
Regards from Sweden/Mats

Is the noise a hissing sound or a hum?
Some Hiss in these tube amps is normal.
Hum is not, that usually means a grounding problem or interference form some other electrical devices.

I once had a strange hum in my Hot Rod Deluxe. Found out that my amp was plugged into the same circuit as a lamp with one of those new CFL bulbs (florescent). On a hunch........I plugged my amp into a wall plug across the room. No more hum. Hopefully a simple solution as that, might work for your problem.

Thanks for answers. Its more like a hum, and i tried different room also.
Clean channel is ok but gainchannel is a little to much to bear.
I contacted the firm were i bought the amp. I bought it on the net and maybe it wasnt so smart, thinking about transport and what can happen.

Try it with a humbucker equipped guitar and see if it still has noise.
