My fender Twin pro series came w/ 2 - AX7a white label groove tubes, they also have a rubber shrink wrap. I can not find these tubes anywhere, only the red labels seem to be available. I check the GT web site and sent them emails but never got a response.

Any Ideas on replacements? Should I go for the fender AX7's?

Do you mean the 12ax7 preamp tubes ?
If so you can use any 12ax7 replacement, and groove tubes are not the best around.

Ruby, Mullard, JJ/Tesla, jan Philips and many other brands make better versions of this tube.

I believe Groove Tubes are just re-branded Russian SovTek tubes

I just ordered some "jan Philips and jj/Tesla" tubes from this place:
http://www.tubedepot.com/

See how it goes when they arrive in the mail.

If it is the power tubes like the 6l6's or el84's you need to be more careful as different brands need different biasing in the amp
