New here so Hi to everyone,

Pulling my hair out on this one!
I have a '96 Twin with an intermittent problem with changing channels via footswitch.

When amp has been on about 5 minutes attempting to change from channel 2 to channel 3 (overdrive) causes horrrible crackling and distortion. The LEDS on the amp start fluctuating and both stay on at the same time. When it does works correctly the LEDS switch cleanly from one to another.
I have had this in for repair twice. They tell me it's cured then a couple of gigs later off we go again. :?

At the mo I get round the problem by patching a pedal with a small ammout of overdrive via channel 1 (clean) as the problem does not occur when switching between Channels 1 and 3. Not a satisfacory solution but gets me through the gig.

Any help would be much appreciated. If I can take it for repair and tell 'em what needs sorting it will save a lot of brain pain.

Thanks in anticipation.

Jon
