I bought a 410 Deville used a few months ago. Was working fine but now it only works on the clean channel, when I switch to drive or more drive, just silence. If anyone has had this happen to them, would love to know how it was remedied. Thanks!

Got a dead 12AX7 tube maybe ????

Only guessing by the way, I am not a repair guy.

I would guess a dead pre amp tube could kill the whole channel.

The Hot Rod series amps are notorious for their channel switching problems. Depending on the age of your amp, if it was made before 2005, the "thing" that causes these amps to be unreliable wasn't addressed. Best to have a tech check it out. (My two cents.)

Fender still hasn't addressed the problem. Mine is a 2007 Hot Rod Deluxe and had many problems including channel switching. Mine will be landfill or a hand built PTP conversion when the warranty runs out. I just don't feel right trading it in or selling it with so many potential issues. I guess I have a conscience.

I had a few issues from mine. I had a serious hum that would not go away. One of the input jacks was also loose. I brought it to Andy Fuchs of Fuchs amps. he replaced the inputs, re-attached the board properly and put a v new three prong plug. It sounds great and I know why I bought it! Bring it to a tech and make sure he checks the whole amp. It may be just a bad tube, than again, it could be a few different things.
