Hey guys I just box A Deluxe 65 Reverb new out of the box and am wondering if there is something wrong.

Many people claim playing past 3 in their room would annoy the neighbors but I can turn mine to 10.

maybe I am just so used to my twin reverb's volume?

The DRRI can get plenty loud. Although, I usually play mine in my bedroom between 2 and 3. I almost never get it above 3 unless no one else is home. 2 is not very loud. 3 is kinda loud. 5 is very loud. After that, things will start coming off the walls in a small room. It's certainly not as loud as a twin, but it's WAY too loud to crank up at home. I hope this helps. Mine came with a bunch of bad tubes. I changed them to some JJ's and wow what a difference. My overdrive pedal sounded really weak before the tube swap. After, well let's just say my search for great tone is over.

I can crank it, but I have to scoot back, 10 feet roughly, and it hurts my ears and a lot of things, e.g. my doorknob, rattle.

I think you nailed it. The Twin (not sure what model/watts you have) is a much louder amp than the 22-watt rms Deluxe.

I went to my friend and rhythm guitarist's house, I cranked my Deluxe Reverb outside, and his little brother in his room on the second floor said it sounded like it was right there in his room.
