As the topic states. I just got this thing new and the output tubes rattle at certain notes.

I have tightened them and installed halo tube dampers and it still happens at certain notes.

This is very frustrating.

Anyone got a fix for vibrating output tubes??

I paid 1200 bucks for this thing..

I expected more.

I'm glad I still have my vox ad30vt.. not sure if the fender is really worth 1000 bucks more

Once I bought a tube amp and within a week, I could faintly hear what sounded like glass tinkling when striking the low E. Did some research and found the answer on a website called Eurotubes. Seems that during shipped and/or playing the glass of the tubes can develop imperceptible cracks and indeed the tubes are tinkling. The position of the tubes in your Deluxe are right in harms way... those are big tubes placed right in the path of that big speaker. Sadly, you need new tubes. Good news is that after I retubed, all was good and I didn't have the problem again.

Don't regret your purchase, its just a tube or two. The Deluxe Limited is a cool amp. Well worth the money.

Tube rattle does not mean you need new tubes. Get some tube dampers. You can find them on EBay really cheap.
It's the mica spacers rattling against the glass envelope.
Eurotubes does sell some 6l6's designed to help prevent rattle for the HRDlx. They only sell JJ's. My JJ's rattle only when I remove the dampers. Great sounding tubes though.

I had the same thing happen, thought the amp had a problem, brought it back to the store before 30 days had past, they put in new tubes (2-power and 1 or 2 pre) can't remember, but has been great ever since.

I have dampers on all the tubes.. 3 each on the 6l6 .. it is a 6L6 that rattles. Maybe musician's friend can help me out.
