At present, I have a Peavey Special 120 watt amp that is over 25 years old. It still does a good job. I would like to know what kind of Fender tube amp would be a good replacement when the time comes. I play metal, hard and classic rock, and the blues. I also have pedals and an effects board. With this in mind, what would be a good tube amp. I do not play shows, just for my enjoyment, but I also like to wake the neighbors. I was looking at the Hot Rod Deluxe.

Hot Rod Deluxe is a good choice as well as a Blues Jr, or Blues Deluxe. Try out several different Fender amps and it will aid in your decision. For some of the harder stuff you will need pedals.

I concur with the previous poster but would add the Super Sonic, which seems to offer the best of vintage tones and modern overdrive. Good Luck to you.

It really depends on how much money you want to spend and the main type of sound you need. Fender makes amps that cover all of the above, but I don't think any amp will satisfy all particular sounds/loudness/etc. plus cost. You are going to have to narrow the field down to your needs/money etc. my friend. 8)
