My Performer starts to give a very hard blop when switched off .
It's not every time.
Probably it will be the hardest when switched off on the top of the sinus.
Is there anybody who had this problem too and what to do about it :?:
My guess is that it has something to do with power supply.
Maybe one of the condensators (who stands in for anti-blop) has lost his value .
I have looked at the schematics (I think it's the same as the RocPro) but where to begin?
It's possible that the same thing happens to other amp's and has the same reason.
Hopefully ther's someone out there that can help.
Greetz,

Tony

I had a Performer for many years and mine used to make the same noise when switching it off, pretty sure it's normal.

Wish I'd kept mine.......

Cheers

hi i bought 1 of the first fender performer 1000 combos brandnew back in 93 879 $$$ ouch,, had no clue it was going to be as good of an amp as it has been,,,
play in a band setting once a week but have never ever had{knock on wood} one ounce of trouble zero nada nothin mine was made in california,, and it has always popped when powered down if it didn;t do that i;d think somethin was wrong,,, i read a ton of reviews on here like a year ago and it was considered to be normal as people said theirs did it too {note} if it ever cuts out on you and it probably won;t but if it does tap the trble knob,, mine did this like twice in 15=16 years and it came right back on,,, someone says this unit runs hot and possibly the soddering either becomes loose or melts slightly lol every w3here i bring mine ppl are quite impressed even at low volumes- they think its tube lol los lonely boys use one on stage as a slave amp live,, hang onto it if you cann they are keepers Rock on Dave
