Anyone using a speaker cabinet with their Super Champ. If so which one. One more question, if I plug in a cab to the line out on the amp does it bypass the speaker in the amp and just play thru the cab.

Yes, it's the same thing as using headphones, except on a bigger scale. There are a variety of cabs. It depends on what you want and like. Fender makes a few cabs, I like the FM412. It's cheap and it's capable of 100w, so with an output of 15w, I'd say it would sound pretty good. There are also some nice marshall cabs. Go to a music store and try the set up out. Good luck.

I was thinking a 1x12 cab would be right for me. I can get an empty cab from a friend pretty cheap just need to put a speaker into it. What speaker rating should I be looking for in ohms. The one in the Super Champ Xd is 8 ohms I believe.
