These are pics of the Vintage Sound deluxe reverb amp that I got last week. It's based on the original with a Mercury trany, a Weber California speaker and custom color cab and grill.

What's really cool is that you get pictures sent to you as he builds it so you can see it coming together. I don't know a damn thing about hand wiring or caps or transformers or all that but it sure looks good.

The other thing I like is the builder wires it so that the first channel is the brownface sound and the reverb and vibrato work with it and the second channel is the blackface sound, with reverb and vibrato. That little difference is nice for more sounds. I'm still screwing around finding more sounds, I haven't turned it past 3 yet, this baby gets LOUD, I put the treble on 5, mids about 5 and bass about 10. Cleans are great and thru a tube screamer it gets good n greasy. This will bill my best ebay purchase ever.

I was beginning to wonder. At first, I thought you bought a new amp, took it home, and immediately began to take it apart.

Oh god no! First I'd probably fry myself and if not I'd have to duck tape it back together

Hey earfur, if you don't mind me askin'....

I bought a new DRRI last Jan from Mf for $750. (At the time they were $850, but I talked them into taking $100 off both it and $100 off a Les Paul Studio if I bought 'em both together right then and there.) A month later they raised the price to $950.

I've since also bought a Blues Jr. NOS and just the other day a Pro Jr. Don't care for the speaker in the PJ and am looking to upgrade. How do you like that particular Weber?

And for the initial question;

...what'd that run you?
