Hello all,

The reverb is not working on my Fender Deluxe Reverb 65 reissue. Looking to replace reverb tank. The original has part number RRVL2AB1C1BV4 . I am assuming the reverb tank is the issue. RCA cables tested and good but no resistance in the reverb tank... appears to be open circuit when tested with ohmetre.
What would be the replacement part to order. Does anyone have the specifications?

Thanks
Patrick

Have you tried ordering a new tank using the P/N of the existing tank?

If you know how to use ohmeter, yes reverb tank is a issue.

https://www.amprepairparts.com/fender65drr.htm

Accutronics Reverb Tank, 17" long, 2 spring, 4AB3C1B. Input impedance 8 ohms, output impedance 2250 ohms, long decay (2.75 - 4.0 seconds), input insulated/output grounded, designed for horizontal mounting, open side down. This is the Korean-made OEM reverb used in Fender® '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissues starting in 2010. Accutronics was purchased by Belton in 2009, and in November of 2009 all production was moved from Cary, Illinois to the Belton manufacturing facility in Seoul, South Korea.

Thanks all for help
I ordered a new tank, installed but still not working
I will bring it to a professional tomorrow

I am disappointed in this product since it is only 3 years old and has never left the house. It is an expensive amplifier therefore expect more durable parts.

Read ohms and compare with the original tank which you said did not measure any resistance.
Report.
Amp may have many issue; tank and tubes, solder, reverb transformer.....

Or you do the tests wrong?

The tech did a quick check and apparently it’s the foot switch, the 1/4 inch jack part that inserts into the amp has a short

Looks like i have an extra reverb tank lol

Your ohms reading at the Reverb tank was wrong

Have a meter and know how to use it, it's another story

Footswitch problems with all of the blackface re-issue amps remain a common issue. I've repaired dozens of them and the cause is a poorly-soldered ground to the inside of the housing, not a short (as your tech reported). The fix takes about ten minutes and requires no parts, merely some solder and brush-on flux.

A short to ground ( at amp footswitch jack - Reverb contact) will stop reverb Like footswitch can do.

With open circuit or bad solder or no footswitch you won't be able to stop reverb. Reverb will be ON all the time
