Hello everyone! First post here at Fender. I bought a Hot Rod Deluxe 4 amp about a year ago... love it!! I don't gig (too old and too many health issues) but I do take it to a studio to record. I am in the process of making my cabling easier and intend to buy a multi core loom to go from pedal board to amp so I can have my PB in the control room and my amp in the studio. I was under the impression that I could use a couple of the multi cores to replace the foot switch wiring for the HRD but have read elsewhere that this isn't the case. Does anyone have a work around for this or am I destined to keep the foot switch cable separate from the loom? If that's the case, am I able to extend the foot switch cable to say 10 metres?

Many thanks in advance

Cheers

Brian

The HRD footswitch uses speaker wire. Shielded wire can cause switching issues.

You can use longer wire. Lamp cord, zip cord, speaker wire, anything that's two separate wires.
