That's really a beautiful place. And from the pictures, looks like no close by neighbors. Not a bad thing, IMO.

Looking forward to your next build thread, if you decide to post it.

Cheers,
Bill

P.S. Some of us may like to hear more about your oscope and sig generator.

Actually, most of the lots are about 0.5 acres in size. We are at the end of a cul-de-sac. There are only 6 houses in the development at this time. There is one lot between us and the neighbor to our left. One house diagonally across the street from us. We have common area on two sides. The other 62 acres in the development are empty and for sale for $500K. Our house was built in 2007 and the last house was built in 2009. Hoping it will be a while before any other houses are built.

The oscope and sig gen arrived today. I'll post when I try them out. I will probably post my next build once I decide on it.

That's room enough to erect a sizeable stand-alone garage, suitable for restoring and housing a nice classic ride......wink, wink.

Nah. My knees are shot. Three weeks after moving here, I had emergency knee surgery due to a severe staph infection in my left knee. Don't know what caused it. Just bad luck. Anyway, between the infection and surgery, the left knee is messed up and the right knee is almost as bad. Standing for long periods is painful and getting down on my hands and knees is worse. Probably have to get it replaced in the near future.

I'm guessing she prefers the phrase "she shed". :)

That's funny ghost. I've never heard that expression before. Great pic too.

First off, Congrats on the retirement. Very nice house you got there and the Studio is neat, orderly, and fully stocked! Just as I'd expect from you. Glad to see you back on line here and whatever amp you choose as your next project would be happy to follow along as you are always meticulous when posting them! Hope the knee feels better soon, if replacement time comes I hear they do wonders for negating the pain. I have one in my future somewhere down the road, but trying to put if off as long as possible. Again, good to see you back posting.

:D

Thanks T2. We are really enjoying the retired life.

Our next door neighbor's wife just had a knee replaced by the same orthopaedic surgeon that fixed my knee. She is doing great. I'm giving it serious consideration but not ready quite yet.

The o-scope software worked out pretty well. The disc that came with it was bad so I had to download new software to install. Also found the English language manual. The scope is somewhat limited in function, but for basic signal tracing it should be fine. When I get a chance I'll post a pic of the display. The little sig gen is also neat. It does sine, triangle, and square waves up to 200KHz.

I've ordered a 5E8A Tweed Twin as a head, no speakers, from Weber. Waiting on delivery. My Marshall 1960A Lead cab (with 4 G12M-65 Creambacks) is switchable between 4 and 16 ohm mono so I'll plug the new amp into that and move my Trainwreck Express clone to my 4x12 Crate cab (with 4 G12M-25 Greenbacks) wired at 16 ohm. That way I don't have to rewire anything.

Stay tuned.
