Hello Amp Experts,

I ahve a Fender early 90's 'The Twin' red knob amp. There is no buzzing or hum apparent when there is no load. Amp switched on off standby volume can be turned rightup with no apparent hum or buzz.

As soon as I plug anything into any of the four front inputs there is a very noticeable buzz. Tried 3 different guitars and 5 leads. Gets worse with volume and is loud enough to be evident over anything played.

Have done all the logical things. Different guitars/Leads. Checked the wiring. Took out the earth wire to isolate any potential earth loop problems. Nothing makes any difference it buzzes on the inputs.

Took out contact cleaned and reseated each valve. All seem to light up just fine. IT was working before storage for a few years in the studio. Always in a warm dry environment.

Bias and balance are spot on. I have reached the end of my knowledge and what I can find on the internet to check. Hoping someone on here has experienced something similar and 'knows' what the issue could be and how to solve it.

Any help appreciated. It's a long way to any valve amp repair place....Can't work out how to post pictures on here.

Cheers
Spart
