Looking at the Fromel ad for a recap kit for the 68CVR, the ad says the quality of the original caps is not very good. So I thought I would recap mine. But I don't want to buy the Fromel kit - I'd rather buy my own caps so I can control the quality and the ratings. But I would like to know which caps Fromel has selected for replacement. I have the 68CVR schematic, and the filter caps are easy to spot, but it looks like the kit has a lot of other components. Has anyone used the Fromel kit who might have the component list? Or has anyone recapped the 68CVR who can tell me which components they replaced? (BTW, I've been around radios, soldering irons, and high voltages most of my life.)

Skip the Fromel hype and buy yourself a set of F&T electrolytics. You can find kits on Ebay for around seventy bucks. Don't forget to replace the bias-supply cap as well.
