Hello,

I recently bought a fender acoustic Pro 200w amp. I also fitted my Martin HD 28 with an L.R. Baggs lyric internal microphone.

The amp squeals and whistles so badly that I cant get any sound.

The feedback is basically uncontrollable.

I've tried the phase adjustment and repositioning the amp and guitar but nothing is working.

I just blew a 6.3amp 250v fuse and am heading into town to purchase another.

Please, if someone could help me.

I have chosen top quality equipment.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you,

Plainly, you are experiencing acoustic coupled feedback.
This should not blow a fuse, though. That sounds like an amp warranty issue. Did the fuse restore operation?
The feedback is probably coming from the microphone. I see that the company won't warranty the unit or provide technical information unless it was installed by an authorized dealer. Your post suggests a self installation.
I have worked with one of these mics before, including dismounting it. It didn't seem sensitive to being disturbed so I wouldn't think it so critical that only a dealer can do it properly.
But its a complex circuit behind the mike and an out-of-the-box failure must be considered. Low battery level could be a possibility as well.
First step in tracking it down is to try another guitar on the amp. Second is to plug the microphone into a different amp.
If it is all working, but still feeds back, you might try a sound-hole plug to reduce acoustic coupling.
Keep the mic level low and turn up the amp to reduce the mic's sensitivity
