Good day all,

I have an issue with my Red Knob Fender Twin. I had a broken volume knob which I recently changed. For some reason the amp still has the same problem. The volume is set to a certain level and when you pull on the treble knob; the volume is way up. It makes no sense. I have tried different inputs but I still get the same problem. This is in the clean channel. The overdrive channel seems to work ok. Anyone had a similar problem before?

Thanks! :)

I understand you have a issue with pot.....not with knob

The treble boost knob, you pull is from pot R10 on schematic, a 250 kA pot
Volume is po R13 a 1 meg A pot.

Did you put a "A" pot ? Not a "B" pot.
With a "B" pot. amp will have full volume early.

Issue could be capacitor C6 short, a 120 pf solder on the volume.
Remove on leg of this cap and see what happen.

By the way you should post on Vintage amp sub- forum
