Hi Everyone,
I need help with My Blues Jr.
Turned her on tonight and no sound. Tubes work fine when I put them in my PV Classic 20. Speaker is plugged in and fuses look fine. I do notice a slight odor in the amp area but very slight. The only mod is I put in an Eminence Texas Heat 8 ohm speaker. Bought it used but the warranty should be transferable. If not I know the seller well. Any ideas before I take it in and should I put the stock speaker back in before they look at warranty work?

Thanks

Common sense would say to have it checked out.

May sound obvious but, is the speaker jack cable plugged in? There are two inputs inside. One is for fat foot switch, and one is for the speaker output.

Thanks so much for a decent reply. Yes I've checked all the obvious. I even plugged in an extention cab just in case. No luck.
54 views on this and I get your nice response and one from a merchant who thinks I have no common sense. See the problem is, when taking anything to a tech there are many who will rip you off if you aren't informed ahead of time. I would love to get educated before I take it in. Common sense prevails with me but intelligence always backs it up. Not sure I'd purchase from the previous poster.

Thanks again.

I do believe you have misunderstood what I was saying. You mentioned that you had checked the most obvious things to check. MY personal next thought (common sense) would be to take it in and get it checked.

And you are entitled to your own personal opinion.
