I was wondering if anyonecan give me some general advice for settings as well as some more details regarding
the functionality of the amp itself.

RE: Power level control.

How does raising/lowering the power level effect the amp?

Am I engaging the power tube distortion, by cranking it all the way up?

In turn, if I have the power level all the way down and use the gain/volume control of channel 1/2 am I strictly engaging the pre amp distortion?

in the past I've cranked up the power level control, along with the gain and used channel 1/2 for volume control.

It's sounds good, but it's insanely loud. Am I driving the amp too much by doing this?

If anyone has any presets/diagrams to get me started that would be a big help.

Also, I know that the model I own, channels 1 and 2 are shared.. Any advice on how to make the
clean channel (green) and channel 2 (blue) more compatible sound wise without sacrificing the gain settings of the blue channel?

Tone controls start at midpoint

RE: Power level control.

The amp is designed to output full power continuously. The control changes the screen grid voltage to vary the power through the main stage.

Power tube distortion is only available at "insanely loud levels."

Yes

Go back and forth between hi gain/low volume and lo gain/high volume. One gets crunchy quick. the other clean but loud

No. It can take it longer than you can

Check out the owners manual online

Channels 1 & 2 have three relay changes between them. The first switches in different input caps. The second changes gain. The third swaps out different caps that feed the tone stack.
You could work on the second. Changing R79 from 10K to 100K or more would raise the gain of the green channel without coloring the tone
