Have a new Acoustasonic 40 that I will use for small venues. It has a XLR balanced out to run to a mixer. However, I want to run this to a Behringer Micromon headphone amp that I use for in the ear monitors and just use the Acoustasonic as the PA. When I plug from the XLR out to the monitor in on the headphone amp I get nothing. If I run from the XLR out to the mic in on the headphone amp I can hear the signal but it is dirty and unusable at acceptable volume. If I plug the XLR out into another guitar amp (either the HI Z or Low Z) the signal is again too dirty and unusable. Whats up? Any advice? If the XLR out is line level then why would it not work in the headphone amps monitor in. If it is just a passive signal why would it be so dirty went plugged in the mic input. Could the XLR output be defective or am I just missing something. Thanks

That is a stereo monitor input on the Behringer. If you are using a mono jack, that could be the issue. You need a XLR to 1/4" TS transformer and a TS Female to TRS cable ,wired to mono.
The Acoustasonic Fender page says it has a XLR line out. That would suggest line level. So the monitor would be the correct input to use.
Not all XLR circuits are created equal. While it is specified as a balanced output, some manufacturers use a single ended circuit connected to it. To check a balanced input, put a finger probe on the pins, one at a time. There should be two pins sensitive to touching, with the third ground, insensitive.
The same holds for a balanced output. Pull back the shell and short the pins to ground. Two pins should lower the volume. If only one pin lowers the volume, its only a single ended drive.
Fender usually does have balanced citcuits.
