If you are going to build it yourself why don't you just take measurements from the stock cabinet and build from those?

Building a 1x12 extension cabinet for it seems like a waste. It already has a 1x12 speaker in it. You have to unplug the internal speaker to plug in the cabinet.[/quote]

I will probably end up doing that, but the covering hides some parts. Some of the pieces are confusing me as to how they are fabricated and used. I just thought I would give asking a try.

In regards to the unplugging one speaker issue: since the speaker of the original Blues Junior is connected to the amp head via a 1/4" cable, all you would have to do is buy a 1/4" y-splitter and connect it to the amp head of the original Blues Junior and connect the original 1/4" cable to the y-splitter and run another 1/4" speaker cable from the other y-splitter jack to the extension cabinet. I've not tried this, but theoretically, it should work. I'm not sure if there's something that I might be overlooking, though.

I am running my Blues Jr. through an extension cab that I built from 3/4 birch ply. The cab external dimensions are 19" high, 19" wide, and 11" deep. It is closed back and ported to the front with two approximately 1 1/2 " ports. I use it plugged into the original speaker jack in the amp as to do differently would place an incorrect load on the amp. I'll stand corrected on the last part if that is not right. I'm using a 12" Eminence legend in the ext. cab. It sounds great and really improved the performance of the little Blues Jr. :)

In theory this would work. HOWEVER, it would change the speakers from 8ohms to 16ohms. The Blues Jr. is an 8ohm amp.
