I have a blues jr. I was looking into building my own cabinet to house it. Other that taking apart the one I have is there anywhere I can find plans for building one? I want to build one out of real wood not plywood. I also want it to have a natural wood finish.

Yes like that, but I am in an apartment so I want to keep it with just one 12" speaker. I want the same cabinet dimensions I have but in real wood.

BTW That thing looks great.

I wish. I had it custom made for me. I have more invested in the cabinet, tubes, and the speakers than the original Blues Jr. cost.

What about building a separte speaker cabinet and leaving the original unchanged? My son has a Blues Jr. and it is supposed to be able to drive another cab.

Could you build a 2 by 8 or 2 by 10 that would sound good?

You can unplug the internal speaker and plug in a speaker cabinet of your choice. Remember that it must be an 8ohm cabinet.

I though about just making a separate cabinet, but I want to build one that I can just switch the guts out with. I did just get a celestion greenback for the new cabinet, so I might just make a speaker cabinet since I can't find plans for the BJ cabinet.

If you are going to build it yourself why don't you just take measurements from the stock cabinet and build from those?

Building a 1x12 extension cabinet for it seems like a waste. It already has a 1x12 speaker in it. You have to unplug the internal speaker to plug in the cabinet.
