Any thoughts on what could be causing a buzzing/humming noise, even with nothing plugged in? There's no flourescent lights or anything external which could be causing it.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

You could still be plugged into a circuit that is not grounded properly or has several rooms on it which could cause dirty electricity.

Thanks, but that's not it. I've plugged it in 3 different houses. I'm thinking bad solder point somewhere?

Have it checked out by a tech.

It could be down to your guitar.

Does the noise happen when using a different guitar?

Are you using Humbucker or single coil pickups?

I could be a grounding issue. Is the 3 prong power cord in good shape? If you lost your ground it can cause buzzing. So can TV's and computer monitors. You may need to take it to a tech.

Thanks guys. Again, it buzzes even with nothing plugged in. Have tried it at different locations too. Definitely in the amp. Found a local tech, although I have considered pulling the guts out and looking inside myself first.

If you do that, look for loose ribbon and spade connectors and corrosion. My nephew had a similar problem with a Crate amp and that's all I found and it's still fine after a few years. The amp sounds like crap but it always did.
