Hello...

I've had this buzz on sustained notes, especially in the low end. I've determined that it's a problem with at least one of the speakers.

My question is... what's the best way to test each speaker individually? I'm not really good with wiring stuff but if I could wire one at a time into the amp and run guitar signal through it, that would be ideal.

Any help would be great. Thanks

I think the first order of business would be to check them physically first.
Gently press the cone near the middle where it meets the cap and move it in and out about 1/16" or so while watching the surround and checking for breaks.
Be careful.
Don't put a dent in the cap.
A buzzing sound is often created by a broken joint between the cone and the surround.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Hey Charles,

How did you determine it was one of the speakers?

Many times, the problem that you’ve described is something else in the room vibrating, not the amp, although you will swear it is coming from the amp.

Try moving the amp to a different room before trying anything else.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.
