I bought a used 2017 Fender Super Sonic 22 combo. Someone took off the 6V6 tube cage. I know it doesn’t do anything to the amp, but I just would like to the part.

Part# 0079278000

I am shocked because Fender Consumer Relations will not sell me this part? Does anyone know were I might get one? Anyone got an amp that blew up, and would sell me their amp cage.

It’s not like I am asking customer service for a Stratocaster body? I just don’t understand why a tube cage would something that cannot be sold?

The original owner likely removed it because it rattled audibly like a basket full of sidewinders.

Do you *REALLY* want that aggravation?

I could be wrong about this, but I believe,

You have to buy the part through a Fender Music Dealer, or maybe an authorized Fender Amp Repair shop. Try your local music store (Fender dealer) and order the part through them. They can put in a special order and you’ll get the part.

Kind of like, if you needed a car part. You can’t go directly to Ford, but rather have to get the part at a Ford dealership. Good luck.

I own a ‘15 version of the amp. The cage is a pain if you are servicing the amp, but I must admit I have not had to mess with mine for over a year. Next time I do swap out tubes I will likely leave the cage off.

If you just have to have one, Jackhammer is right: try ordering it from an authorized service center.

Icastrat,

Nothing new .
No manufacturer will sell parts to a customer, we should ask to a dealer of the brand.
