What are you guys using for a set of headphones for quiet times and can they be plugged in to the speaker output safely.

Unless you want new headphones, don't plug them into the speaker out. It would also be a good idea to keep your ears out of them in case youwanted to try it.

For quiet times, I have a Vibro Champ XD. Five watts, tube, dreamy. I am starting to think it is the best sounding amp I have. If I could get the sound out of my other amps I get out of it I would be very happy, indeed.

I got one myself for the same reasons -- great tone even at low volumes.

That's the one downside to the Super Champ... no headphone jack. I picked up a Floor Pod Plus to practice late and for some effects, I wouldn't advise it for the amp at least, the amp models kind of suck. The Super Champ voices are way better. I recorded a bit directly into my TonePort, it sounds great.

Yep, I've done some recording with my VCXD and I love it. I have a Line6 PODxt that I thought I would love, but it doesn't get much use. It's not that I don't like it, I guess it's just easier to use an amp.
