NAMM is coming up soon. Any amps you'd like to see announced?

Fender needs to re-issue the Pro Reverb. Handwired chassis, finger-joined pine cabinet, Weber speakers.

I once had a Pro Reverb. One of the very best sounding amps I ever owned. Although I had JBL K120's in mine.

HW Vibrolux with those Jensen P10Fs (some of the best alnico 10inches on the market)

Although a HW Pro Reverb with some of those Weber D-12s would be smoking good too.

What are the chances they would be under 2K if they made them? I think most knowledgeable folks would buy them at or below that price but Fender would likely want an extra thousand +.
But HW anything are definitely MIA in the lineup other than CS offerings.
Both excellent suggestions!

Fender can raise the bar and re-assume their role as the industry's LEADER or they can continue to produce disposable JUNK.

It's as simple as that.

They did a limited run of the '64 DR hand-wired amps and they're still not all sold.
I don't know about south of the 49th but up here our biggest music store chain, L&M, says they still have them and they'll gladly let me have one if I feel like forking over the cash.
I think Fender know exactly what they're doing.
They produce whatever sells.
Then they occasionally build a small number of real amps for the small number of folks who will spend the money to get the real McCoy.
I also think the small number of people is shrinking .... likely due to attrition.

You're probably right, Matt.

But they'll never get another farthing from me.

It wouldn't surprise me to see a '64 Princeton Reverb, hand wired, pine, etc.

They need to add the '59 Harvard to their Tweed hand wired series, they need one slotted between the Deluxe and Champ!

Fender's NAMM exhibits never fail to put me to sleep but the 6G2 re-issue might be worth perking up for.

I think we've seen enough evidence that people will not come out in droves to buy hand wired point-to-point amps.
There are obviously a few who will but I think we know full well there is a very small market for such gems.
They may well be wonderful but they're not going to sell by the bucketful and FMIC is in business to make money selling amps by the bucketful.
That said, I think Fender needs to release a PCB (reissue) version of the 5E3, but NOT along the same lousy, cheap quality infrastructure of the newest lines of HRD hardware and not with some cheesy EC mods.
Just give us a pure tweed tone people can trust to last and at a price that won't break the bank.
You can do it with PCBs and people will gobble them up.

I know. I know.
There is the '59 Bassman but that's a big amp.
There's no affordable (yet reliable) small tweed.
The Deluxe (5E3) is the natural choice.
