So far this pair sounds the best, Gibson 50's Tribute with P90's..
That is an American Blues Deville 410 next to it, 1995 I believe..

Effects loop is working good, Just a Volume Pedal, Zoom and a Ditto in the loop..
Strange how my balanced cables sound better in the loops of my amps, and I know those amps don't have balanced jacks.. Just better wire I guess..

Tried a 1x12 cab I had laying around, wow that filled up the room with sound, just a stock eminence speaker from one of my old Fender amps in that thing, from a speaker swap.. I have a 2 x12 with a Texas Heat and a Swamp Thang that I will probably be using with it..

This is the first new Fender tube amp I have bought in awhile, I had a really bad experience with a 68 Custom Twin Reverb around four years back, I ended up swapping the chassis in that thing with a 1981 linear 135 watt monster into the 68 Custom cab and all is very well now.. Nirvana Maximus with that thing.. The cool thing was I sold the 68 Custom chassis for almost what I paid for the 1981 Twin Reverb chassis..

So far it seems Fender has stepped up their game a little on QC, or maybe it was just a good day to build amps when they put this one together. Every new Fender tube amp I have bought previously, I had to either tighten screws down, hunt rattles or something. This Hot Rod Deville was truly plug and play.

I have a warehouse jam coming up and this thing and probably a Deluxe Reverb in stereo is going to be the likely candidates.. A lot better than dragging two old Twin Reverbs around..

I remember those days (and not fondly either).

Those old Twin Reverbs are not too bad with a fold up dolly, but here in Montana you need skis or ice skates on those dollys from around October thru March..

The new IV design is totally usable out of the box, stock everything, same way my Deluxe Reverb is.. Don't need no tube swaps, speaker swaps, pot swaps, nothing. I do like the volume pedal in the effects loop though.. At least in my ears..
