Hi there,

I'm looking to change the tubes in my Fender Blues Junior, but I want to know if I need to bias them? Or can I simply take them out and put JJ's etc in, just like that?

Any help would be really appreciated, thank you!!!

It's really that simple?? Why is it that some amps need biasing but others don't? Is it a power issue?

Thanks so much for your help!

Hello Watchtower,

From what I've gleened the low
power of the blues junior makes
it unecessary.

Cheers.

All you got to do is change them out and keep rocking on. But, and you may already know this, if you want a little more "edge" in your sound use the chinese made tubes. They want last as long as russian type, but you will have a little more "edge".

My suggestion is to change them all to the Torres Engineering tube kit. Each tube is hand selected and tested for the specific purpose of that tube.
