Hello, I'm a new member here and found I'm having trouble with my ’68 Custom Princeton Reverb 15W Amp. Had it from new since October 2017 gigging and practising reasonably regularly.

I live up in Cumbria and bought the amp in London. Difficult to find somewhere I can take this to have a professional look at it but maybe the wonderful people here can help me before I make a big trip to a servicing place?

I played a gig last night and halfway through the bulb on the amp dimmed and the sound of the amp became limited. That gorgeous tone I get out it got affected hugely but it still worked. I had the amp at a not too taxing 4 on the volume and was pushing a fair few pedals through it.

Here's a gear list:
Guitar: Fender Jaguar HH Special Edition
Pedals: Boss Tu-3 -> Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster -> Electro Harmonix Holy Stain -> Dan Electro FAB Overdrive -> Boss CH-1 -> Boss RV-6 -> Marshall VT-1 -> Boss DD-7 all powered by a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus.

I've had the problem occur at practice once but it was the towards the end of a practice where I figured I might have been pushing the amp a little too hard. Since then gigged with regularity without a problem, last night was just worst and really got me worried.

Any help advice anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

Amp power supply lost voltage. Why ?

1- Did you try another wall outlet ?
2- Amp power cable and or electrical extension are working good ?
3- Check fuse for bad contact ; remove it, how fuse look ? Plug fuse, try the amp

If yes at each answer, amp need to see a tech. There is a bad contacts or bad solder in the amp.

Find another amp to use while you bring it in for warranty work.

You probably have a power tube shorted from cathode to filament.
Replace both the power tubes.
