I've currently got a mid-90's Fender Stage 100 solid state amp (not the head version) that sounds OK (it hisses alot nowadays). But I'll definitely look into the Jazzmaster. I would definitely like to venture into the "tube" side of the isle. I've really liked what I've heard thus far from the tubes versus SS.. :)

Thanks again..

It's not about tube vs solid state: it's really about a fine, overlooked amp that happens to be solid state -- and, I might add, in 35 years of amps, this is my first and only solid state guitar amp (the other two being bass amps).

I would defy any one to identify it as "not tube" in a blind listening test. Check out the reviews at Harmony Central.

By any means I wasn't disregarding your comment about the Jazzmaster.. :)
I looked it up on Harmony Central, very good reviews.. I also was not trying to do the age old SS vs Tube either.. I was just looking for a different sound than what I've already got.. I guess my comments off a bit.
I've been looking at a ton of different amps on youtube.. God there are a lot of stellar sounding amps out there.. What's really catching my eyes are the more versatile amps (not really a pedal person).. The Mesa Roadster is really looking impressive to me (and sounding).. Seeing I play a bit of everything (Rock, blues, funk, and metal) I'm looking for versatility..
The Rivera's are awesome too..
Diezel, well... They are really expensive.. waaayy out of my price range.. I do understand that that this is a Fender forum and I shouldn't be talking about the competition, so I'll stop..
Once again, the Jazzmaster looks like a definite possibility and I'll keep it in mind. :)
thanks..

The Mesa would tempt me, too. But I'm getting old and cranky and now that I have what I call "my" sound I get impatient with anything that doesn't deliver.

And, after many years and many brands, Fenders are it for me for guitar amps and basses (three Precisions, at the moment).

Good luck in your search: but it's the sort of thing that's fun even if you don't find what you're exactly looking for.
