Do you have a Blues Junior?
Do you have anything to say about it?

I have one. I won't part with it. I have not modded it. I have a avatar extension cab with a hellatone that I use instead of the stock speaker. It sounds huge and not boxy. No buyers remorse. I could gig with it. What more do can I say? Oh yeah its MIM and black tolex.

This was a good amp. It sounded great when I replaced the stock speaker which is a 12 inch standard speaker that Fender uses for a lot of it's amp. Really isn't matched for an amp that's this size. I'm sure a lot of people could find interesting things to say here about this...but I picked a celestion greenback. Nice warm tone - early break up - rated for 25 watts. Perfect for this amp. Sounds awesome now - clean or distorted. No more harsh beam/shrill beaming from that standard stock speaker.

Interesting you should say that. The speakers I am using in my custom Blues Jr are clones of Pre-Rola Celestion H and M models.

I have a Blues Junior and it is an awesome little amp. I love the sound it puts out when I play my American Tele through it.

Hello Fenderdog,

I've played thru them for years and
about 18 months ago pulled the trigger
and finally purchased one. For me it's a
super great little amp, but they aren't
for everybody.

I converted mine to a head unit so
my speaker cab is about 15 feet
away and the head is on a tiny table with
the controls an arms length away.
Guitar knobs always set a 10 and I drive it
thru the head unit. I'm really happy with
the way the whole thing worked out.

Best of luck on your choice.

Cheers

I had one and got rid of it. It sounded great but had reverb problems so I sold it and got a Super Champ XD. Its just a practice amp so no big deal.

It's a great little amp for practice and maybe small lounge gigs.
Or mic'ed for larger.

I have a limited edition one in tweed - it originally came stock but I replaced it with a Jensen c12n, JJ power tubes and EHX 12at7 preamp tubes and DANG me, it's pretty daiim amazing. I'll never get rid of it! I had some BillM Mods done to it too. You won't regret it.

Even with the price increase I would still say its hard to beat for the money.

I just went to Guitar Center and they've got them brand new (not scratch & dent) for 450.00.. S'water has them for 475.00.. I'll be picking one of these up, unless I can get a really good deal on the DRRI.. :)

I have a Blues Jnr, it's a great little amp. Seeing the prices quoted here, I may just have answered the thread I just started
