Hey guys!
I was just wondering if the Fender FM212R amp is any good. I went and tried out the DSP model, but there was a lot of background static noise. It wasn't the guitar making the noise. Just wanna know what your thoughts are on the 212R. Thanks

I've had mine for 3-1/2 years. For the price you aren't going to find much better. It is a pretty good sounding amp.It ain't gonna make you sound like (insert name here),but its damn loud and whatever sounds you can't pull out of it can usually be made with a few pedals into the clean channel.
Personally I like the sound of the dirty channel, just dime everything (except the volume ,,you won't really ever need to go past 6)..hit the mid scoop and your rockin. The more drive channel is pretty noisy, but thats why they gave you a footswitch, right?
Mine has had a few issues- mostly due to abuse, being used as a temporary bass amp, temporary P.A.,being dropped kicked & knocked over, left in the rain overnight ,bounced around in the bed of a pickup down gravel roads, drowned in beer explosions and other party-type mishaps..etc.
The reverb unit has recently started acting up and feeding back when the level knob is dimed. The power supply section (transformer etc.) died shortly after a power surge and had t be replaced (if I had bought the amp new the warranty would have covered it). And for a while the amp would randomly start switching channels rapidly...this was cured by a good hard fist slam on the top of the amp..hasn't happened again.
The surprising thing about this sucker is that people with mucho-dollar boutique tube amps come up and comment on how good it sounds, honestly! And most aren't even all the drunk yet!
